Rwanda - Commemoration of the genocide

24 years ago, on the 7th of April 1994, began one of the wost atrocities of our time. In a few months, the Tutsis’ genocide in Rwanda, that the international community failed to prevent and stop, took millions of innocent lives.

France joins the Rwandan population to honor the victims and to acknowledge the survivors’ dignity and the Rwandan people capacity for reconciliation.

The Ambassador Sylvain Berger attended a moving ceremony of "kwibuka" (remember) on the 12th of April, at the Embassy of Rwanda, for the 24th commemoration of the genocide against Tutsis.
